Kurtici scores big with ‘Chip Code’

UK-based dancehall artiste Kurtici is making waves with his latest single, Chip Code, a gritty and relatable track inspired by everyday realities and the hustle to get paid after putting in a hard day's work.

The song draws on a modern financial metaphor - the use of a bank card's chip and code - to reflect the struggles and determination of people trying to secure their earnings and make ends meet. With clever storytelling and authentic dancehall energy, Kurtici connects street experiences with contemporary life, creating a track that resonates with listeners across cultures.

"It's really a story about working hard and needing to get paid after work. Everybody can relate to that," Kurtici said.

Chip Code was produced by Money Code Records, a production outfit known for delivering authentic dancehall sounds. The accompanying music video was directed by Uploud Productions and filmed on location in Kingston, capturing the vibrant-yet-gritty atmosphere that has long been synonymous with the genre.

Despite being based in the UK, Kurtici remains deeply connected to dancehall's Jamaican roots and is passionate about preserving the authenticity of the genre. His message to young people is simple but powerful.
