'Rambo' charged with shooting man in face then torching car
A Clarendon man who allegedly shot another man in the face before setting his car on fire has been slapped with multiple charges by the police.
Charged is 35-year-old Rodwayne Richards, otherwise called "Rambo", a construction worker of Nairne Castle in James Hill, Clarendon.
Reports from the May Pen Police are that about 5:30 p.m. on December 17, 2025, Richards approached a man who was sitting inside his motor car in the community.
Investigators allege that Richards opened fire, hitting the man in the face. He then reportedly set the vehicle ablaze before fleeing the area.
The injured man sustained severe burn injuries and was assisted to hospital for treatment.
Following investigations, Richards later turned himself in to the police.
He was formally charged on Friday, March 6 with Wounding with Intent, Malicious Destruction of Property, Using a Firearm to Commit a Felony, Unauthorised Possession of Ammunition and Causing Grievous Bodily Harm with Intent.
A date for him to appear in court is now being finalised.
