Dancehall artiste Tellatime is a firm believer in the power of positive thinking, which is evident on his new single titled Dream Big.

"I learnt very early in life that you cannot achieve success without having a positive mindset. If you want to achieve great things, you have to believe in yourself, dream big, and work hard," said Tellatime. The Canadian-born deejay says the single is a song of inspiration and hope "for the people out there trying to make it".

"I want them to know that they can make it, no matter what obstacles or challenges they might encounter. It doesn't matter if you were born in the ghetto and your family is poor. You can still make it in life and be a shining example to others," he said.

Tellatime is confident that the song, which he co-produced with Goga Music and Nimz, will be his breakthrough single.

"This is my first official single, and I believe that it's going to be a huge success because it has a message that will resonate with people all over the world. It's only been out a few weeks now and it's already receiving strong rotation in Jamaica, Canada and the US," he said.

Tellatime, whose given name is Sheldon Chevers, was born in Toronto to Jamaican parents. He spent most of his formative years living in Canada and Jamaica.

"My father, Robert Chevers, aka Faces, owned a sound system called Faces International, in Canada. One of my uncles, Bransford Sinclair, is a musician. Growing up around music and those trips to Jamaica definitely fuelled my desire to become a dancehall artiste," he said.
